The Regional Steering Committee (RSC) provides direct input to the work of HomeGrown StL’s (HGStL) Administrative Core, Preferred Provider Network (PPN), and pillar workgroups—serving as a vehicle for identification, dissemination, and institutionalization of critical issues that impact Black boys and young men between the ages of 12-29 years old in the St. Louis region. The RSC is the first civic governance structure of its kind to be erected within a region to accelerate collective impact strategies that improve the health and development of Black boys and young men. Specifically, making resources available to support efforts to prepare, launch, and test a population-level strategy across six zip codes to improve the upward mobility outcomes for Black boys and young men. The RSC is comprised of 25 senior-level decision makers from across the St. Louis region who have influence to shape and shift their internal policies and people to align with HGStL’s mission and services. Each member is appointed based upon their alignment with HGStL’s seven (7) pillars.
